Business Developer

We are Teqplay. A fast-growing tech scale-up, we develop data-driven solutions that empower the maritime industry toward sustainable, efficient operations worldwide. Our mission is driving change and fostering collaboration by exposing and eliminating waste and risk in cargo movement. By optimizing port call operations (PCO), we address the industry’s most pressing needs. We’re looking for an experienced Business Developer to expand our market impact, refine product-market fit, and continuously improve our solutions with a customer-centered focus.

What You’ll Do

As our Business Developer, you’ll connect Teqplay’s innovative solutions with industry needs, supporting our mission to expose and eliminate waste and risk in cargo movement:

  • Understand Customer Challenges: Engage deeply with clients, capturing insights to drive custom engagement & solution improvements and ensure we continuously adapt to customer needs.
  • Identify New Business Opportunities: Discover and pursue commercial opportunities  and growth avenues across ports and terminals to expand Teqplay’s reach and address specific customer pain points.
  • Drive Customer-Centric Improvement: Collaborate with Product, Strategy, and Marketing teams to turn client feedback into actionable solution enhancements, aligning our offerings with market demands.
  • Refine Product-Market Fit: Constantly assess and adapt our solutions to maximize their relevance, ensuring alignment with industry trends and customer needs.
  • Build Long-Term Relationships: Establish trust-based relationships with clients, acting as a strategic partner in addressing evolving industry needs and fostering collaboration.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven Business Development Success: You’re commercially driven, customer-focused, and have a track record of cultivating opportunities.
  • Consulting & Improvement skills: You’re analytical, pro-active and quickly understand customers’ challenges in complex collaborative environments and have proven to help transform challenges into actionable improvements.
  • Solid Background in Business & Tech: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in digital transformation or maritime, with a practical focus on solutions.
  • Maritime Industry Experience: A background in the maritime industry and in optimization and continuous improvement is a pre.
  • Experience: 5 years or more years of experience in business development, consulting or other relevant areas
