Global LNG Bunkering platform – leading into the future
Teqplay and DNV GL have entered into a partnership to create a new online LNG bunkering platform to take operators seamlessly from order through to delivery. The FuelBoss platform offers ship owners, operators and suppliers a single common platform for nomination, scheduling, spot inquiries and business intelligence.
The partnership and the launch of the FuelBoss platform was announced at the Global LNG Bunkering Summit 2020 in Amsterdam. The partnership between DNV GL and Teqplay combines the power of the in-depth industry knowledge, network and track record of DNV GL with capability to deliver innovative data-driven collaborative solutions for the maritime industry of Teqplay. The partnership builds on top of the proven global LNG bunkering solution currently in use by Shell.
History
Over the last two years Teqplay developed, in close collaboration with the Shell, a digital and integrated LNG bunkering solution. The solution supports suppliers, ship owners, operators and captains with the full process from negotiation, nomination, planning and scheduling to the actual delivery. The solution has proven to bring value and is currently in use in Europe and will be rolled out globally in 2020.
Setting the standard
The aim of the partnership and collaboration is to set a standard within this new LNG Bunkering industry. This is an once in a lifetime opportunity to set the standard and create a 100% digital basis for a highly cost-competitive industry solution. This is essential for the adoption of LNG fuels within the maritime industry and for achieving the goals on sustainability.
