A new school year is equal to new interns at Teqplay. For the coming months, the Teqplay team just growed with four new faces. How are they going to help Teqplay in our mission to reshape the maritime industry and make it more sustainable by reducing and exposing risk and waste in the cargo movements? Let us introduce them to you all!
Bradley and Jamie
Sometimes coincidence really exists and that is exactly what happened to Bradley and Jamie. Students at the same high school, then started Computer Science at the Hogeschool Rotterdam and now in their third year, without knowing they both applied for an internship at Teqplay. Bradley and Jamie are going to work on a project with the goal to find out how Teqplay’s predictions can be lifted to the next level with the help of AI. “It’s interesting to learn more about Teqplay’s technology and how I can improve writing codes and program languages like Kotlin”, Bradley explains. Jamie adds: “I also like to get more familiar with how an IT organization operates. Besides the business side, I really appreciate the way the Teqplay Team connects with each other and of course the foosball competition is awesome. Everyone is nice and we feel very welcome!”
Daniel and Vincent
Daniel is in the final year of International Business Commerce at Hogeschool Rotterdam and eager to start. “I’m going to do research about the maritime industry and write my thesis about emissions. To make the maritime industry more sustainable, reduction of emission is key.”, he explains the goal for his graduation internship. “I chose Teqplay, because I find it important to get coached by a highly educated team. Also, I never worked for a tech company before, so I think that’s interesting to learn more about as well.” One thing he likes about Teqplay is the culture and how everyone gets along. “And that we all have lunch together is a nice bonus”, he smiles.
Finally we will welcome Vincent to the team next week. He’s going to do research on data engineering and analysis.
Welcome to the Teqplay Team and good luck to all!
